Beth Thomas Cohen and Beth Overzat, the duo behind B’ squared Public Relations, have more in common than just their first name. “The Beths” share a passion for accessories, style and fashion. Beth and Beth met in 2007 while working together on fashion accounts at Lividini Weisenfeld Partners. When paired together, their different backgrounds, experience and strengths immediately and naturally created a well-balanced, dynamic team. Their combined expertise in PR and brand building often found them providing advice to friends, colleagues and even strangers, who looked to them for guidance in starting and growing their businesses. This inspired Beth and Beth to launch B’ squared PR in January 2009. B’ squared was formed to provide representation to up-and-coming fashion and accessory designers, helping them establish a brand identity through media exposure.
Beth Thomas Cohen brings to the company a strong understanding of all angles of Fashion PR. As a former editor for Oprah Magazine and CosmoGirl!, years of in-house experience as the Public Relations Director at Lambertson Truex and as a Senior Director within a growing agency-environment at LWP, she has a balanced view of all facets of the business.
Beth Overzat has a diverse background in luxury marketing within both the Fashion and Hotel Industries. In addition to managing a variety of fashion, accessory and lifestyle accounts for both new and established brands at LWP, her experience includes retail merchandising, strategic planning and creative marketing.
The Beths plan to work exclusively with emerging designers, guiding and consulting with them as they grow their new business. Their focus is on creating consumer and industry awareness by securing strategic product placement in the appropriate fashion and lifestyle publications, on celebrities and in movies and television.
